The story of Inscripture began with a small but powerful moment. Our founder noticed her Nan’s handwriting on an envelope before she’d even opened the card inside. Seeing those familiar letters instantly brought comfort, as if her Nan was there with her. It was a simple reminder of how handwriting can hold so much love and presence, even when someone is no longer with us.
That moment sparked the idea for Inscripture, to create jewellery that helps people keep those they love close, wherever life takes them. And before we knew it, what began as a small idea at a dining room table became the UK’s first and leading Handwriting Engraving Specialist, creating personalised memorial jewellery that carries real emotional significance.

Forever Close: Ashes into Jewellery & Urn Jewellery
Losing someone you love changes how you carry them with you, and our Ashes Jewellery was created to make that connection a little easier. Each piece is crafted with care to hold a small part of someone special, offering comfort and closeness in the moments you need it most.
Our Urn Jewellery Collection is made to hold a tiny amount of ashes or hair securely inside the piece itself. Every order includes a small funnel kit so ashes can be added safely and easily at home, allowing you to be part of that deeply personal moment if you wish. Many of our urn necklaces and charms can also be engraved on the exterior with handwriting, fingerprints, photos and more.
The Ashes into Jewellery Collection works a little differently. Instead of placing the ashes to be hidden inside, they’re carefully encapsulated within resin that is on show, set into rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
You can make each design your own through thoughtful details like our twelve Eternal Hues resin colours named to reflect different personalities and emotions. We also have Aura Shimmer which adds real diamond dust to create a soft, natural sparkle and different Inclusion Visibility options which let you choose how visible the ashes appear. Finally, Memory Blend allows two Eternal Hues to be combined, symbolising two lives or two sides of one story.
