Inscripture’s story started with a birthday card, back in 2016, when our founder Hayley recognised her nan’s handwriting on an envelope before she’d even opened it. That moment became the beginning of everything we do now, and what started as one photo of one card turned into engraving real handwriting onto jewellery, and eventually into everything else we create today, from photographs and illustrations to ashes and prints.

Being called trusted matters more to us than most other words could, because of what people send us to work with. A photo of someone you’ve lost, their real handwriting or a piece of them held in resin aren’t things you hand over lightly, and we’ve never treated them that way either.

This award tells us that the care we put into every single piece is being felt on the other end too, which is everything we hoped for when this all started with one envelope and one piece of handwriting we couldn’t stop looking at.
