We’ve got some news we’re incredibly excited and proud to share… Inscripture has been recognised in the SME News Business Elite Awards 2026 and named Best Memorial Jewellery & Ashes Jewellery Specialist 2026 for South East England.
The Business Elite Awards celebrate small and medium businesses across the UK whose passion and hard work help them stand out in their industry, and this one means a lot to us. It’s a recognition of everything that’s gone into building Inscripture, from a dining room table in Leigh-on-Sea back in 2016 to becoming the UK’s first and leading handwriting engraving specialists, with the largest range of memorial jewellery in the country today.
Our Handwriting Jewellery collection was inspired by a birthday card back in 2016, when founder Hayley recognised her nan’s handwriting on the envelope before she’d even opened it, and found herself thinking about how instantly recognisable someone’s writing really is. Engraving those handwritten words onto jewellery grew out of that moment, and it’s now helped over 150,000 families keep someone they love a little closer. Hayley and her partner Andre have built every part of Inscripture together, and that same idea, sparked by her nan’s handwriting, is still at the heart of everything we create today.
