Like most of us, we have experienced the stress, worry and anxiety during lockdown, but we have also found joy in the way we are all so united and in this together. With most days blurring into one, with no real shape to them we thought we would share a daily tip to make your day brighter.
Monday
Why not write a postcard or letter to your best friends and family? Sit with a cuppa and put pen to paper. Receiving snail mail through the post is lovely at any time but especially now. More personal than a text and sure to brighten their day.
Tuesday
You have no plans this evening so why not make Tuesday evenings your pamper time. Run a hot bath, swirl in that bath oil you save for best and take a deep breath. Now is the time to shave your legs, wash your hair, hair and face mask it up and emerge a new woman!
Wednesday
Today’s the day to make a playlist. Compile your fave uplifting tunes name it “Pandemic at the disco” and play at full volume whenever the need takes you. Dancing around the kitchen table mandatory!
Thursday
When was the last time you watched a classic movie? Think old school Hollywood. Pour yourself a drink, slick
on that red lipstick, and Immerse yourself of the glamour of days gone by.

Friday
Whether working from home, homeschooling or just trying to hold it all together, try to keep that Friday feeling. It will anchor your week and give it much needed shape. Make sure you have chilled your wine/ tonic water/ special non-alcoholic bevvy and come 5 pm pour yourself a celebratory glass. Pile on your beautiful jewellery, lay your table properly, light candles and dine together. Even if you order in, pop it on plates and make sure no one eats their dinner on their lap in front of the TV.
Saturday
Do something fun today. If you have children and the weather is holding up, make a camp in the garden. Use old bedding and chairs to create a base for them. This simple thing has kept our children entertained for hours, they have even taken their tea in there! No children to entertain? Now’s the time to dust off that book you have been promising yourself you will read but are “too busy”. If that feels like too much effort then download one from Audible, lay back, relax and listen.
Sunday
Another week in lockdown draws to a close. Do something today your future self will thank you for. Maybe setting
your alarm slightly earlier so you can do 10 mins of yoga, mindfulness or indeed have a solitary cup of coffee on Monday morning before the week starts again.
