What is Ashes Jewellery?

Ashes jewellery is a beautiful and heartfelt way to keep a loved one close. It involves carefully placing a small amount of cremation ashes, hair, or fur into a bespoke piece of jewellery. Here at Inscripture, we have a huge range of necklaces, rings, bracelets and charms that are uniquely crafted with meaning, designed bespoke to you, to hold memory and love.

How do I order Ashes Jewellery?

When it comes to ordering a piece of ashes jewellery, we’ve made the process as simple and thoughtful as possible. Here’s how it goes:

1. Choose your favourite piece from our Ashes into Jewellery range.
2. Select your preferred resin colour, and whether you’d like to include our real diamond dust or have two resin colours blended together as one.
3. After you’ve checked out, we’ll send you a free Ashes Collection Kit. Inside, you’ll find a container for the ashes, a sealed bag, and a ring sizer if needed.
4. Once ready, return the kit to us using the pre-paid envelope.
5. As soon as it arrives with us, your loved one’s ashes are protected by our Ashes Safeguard Promise, so you can feel reassured that your order is treated with the utmost care and respect.
6. Our talented team will then begin creating your order completely in-house, in our UK studio.
7. Once it’s ready, your memorial jewellery will be beautifully packaged and delivered within 14 working days.

How much ashes are needed to create Ashes Jewellery?

Around one teaspoon is ideal. This allows our jewellers to carefully select the best particles for your piece. From this, we can create up to three items for you and your loved ones.

How is Ashes Jewellery made?

Our master jewellers blend a small amount of ashes with your chosen resin colour. This mixture is then added in delicate layers to your jewellery’s setting, creating a beautiful, floating effect with the ashes suspended like soft flakes.

Once complete, the piece is sealed with a durable, protective outer layer. The result is a glossy, stone-like finish that keeps your loved one’s memory safe and visible forever.

Can you create Ashes Jewellery with Fur or Hair?

Yes, absolutely. You can include a few strands of fur or hair in the Ashes Kit we send, and we’ll embed them carefully within the resin, just as we do with ashes.

Are the Ashes set into Glass?

No, we use a premium, UV-resistant polymer resin. Unlike glass, it won’t crack, fade, or discolour, even with time and sunlight.

Your piece is made from layers of resin, with the final outer layer being ultra-hard and clear to protect the ashes within. Once sealed, the ashes will remain beautifully suspended and permanently preserved.

What are the different customisation options available?

We offer a range of meaningful ways to personalise your ashes jewellery:

• Eternal Hues: Choose from twelve exclusive resin colours, each with its own symbolic meaning.
• Memory Blend: Combine two colours to reflect layered stories or shared memories.
• Aura Shimmer: Add genuine diamond dust for a soft, sacred sparkle.
• Sacred Moments: Opt to receive a respectful video showing the ashes being placed into your piece. It’s a comforting way to feel connected and reassured during the process.

You can also decide how visible the ashes appear:

• Prominent: Clear and easy to see within the resin.
• Discreet: Smaller, dust-like flakes for a softer appearance.
• Invisible: Hidden beneath the resin, so they’re present but not visible to the eye.

What happens to the Ashes that aren’t used within the Jewellery?

All unused ashes are carefully returned to you with your completed ashes jewellery. Nothing is ever discarded, and every step is handled with the deepest care and respect.

Our Ashes Safeguard Promise is our commitment to honouring your loved one’s memory with the utmost care, respect, and transparency. We created it because we understand how much trust it takes to send something so precious and sadly, not every provider treats ashes with the care they deserve. It’s a guarantee that every order is tracked, clearly labelled, and stored in secure, sealed containers. Nothing is ever outsourced so your loved one stays in our care from start to finish, handled only in our UK studio by our small family-owned business. We use a two-person handling process at every stage to ensure complete accuracy, and any ashes or hair not used are safely returned to you.
